John Bedini
Electronics Engineer & Inventor
John Bedini was one of the most prolific and generous figures in independent energy research. His open-source publication of the School Girl energizer circuit in 2004 sparked a worldwide replication effort and introduced thousands of experimenters to the phenomenon of radiant energy and battery conditioning.
"I have never found a limit to what can be done with electricity when you understand what it really is."
Biography
John C. Bedini was born in 1945 and spent his career as an electronics engineer and audio equipment designer — his Bedini Audio amplifiers are still regarded as among the finest ever made. Alongside his commercial work, Bedini pursued a lifelong interest in the energy research of Nikola Tesla, particularly Tesla's concept of radiant energy — the non-Hertzian energy released during the collapse of a magnetic field. Working with researcher Tom Bearden, Bedini developed a series of circuits designed to capture this radiant energy and use it to charge batteries. His most famous design, the School Girl (SG) energizer, was published openly in 2004 with full schematics and construction details, inviting the global experimenter community to replicate and verify his results. Bedini claimed — and many replicators have documented — that the SG circuit can charge a secondary battery while drawing less energy from the primary source than conventional charging methods would require. He continued to develop and publish new circuit designs until his death in 2016, leaving behind a substantial body of open-source research and a community of thousands of active experimenters.
Key Contributions
